Over 70 members of GMB Sandwell took part in Industrial Action yesterday (31st August 2021) against their employer – Serco.
After months of negotiations between GMB and Serco failed to reach a satisfactory resolution, GMB members walked out in the first of four planned 1 day strike days.
The walkout came following issues around health & safety concerns, bullying, harassment and pay disparity remain unresolved.
GMB remain committed to reaching a satisfactory resolution with the employer and following an emergency meeting with Serco yesterday, further talks will take place this week.
