More than 100 women and children who have escaped domestic abuse and international human trafficking will spend the festive season in local refuges, away from their homes and family support. Many more victims are supporting in the community will spend Christmas alone or in fear.
GMB Sandwell will be supporting Black Country Women’s Aid Christmas appeal by collecting donations.
Items for collection:
Gifts for women & teenage girls: toiletry sets, scarves, slippers, craft sets, notebooks, colouring books
Gifts for teenage boys: books, games, toiletries, stationery or clothes Gifts for children: selection boxes, new toys, games for all ages
Gifts for babies: baby toys, clothes & blankets, baby toiletries
For everyone: Tinned or dry food to help families in refuge
Look out for our donation boxes in Sandwell Council House, Ground floor break out room and Providence Place, 3rd floor kitchen area.
You can also make donations at our drop in surgery at Sandwell Council House G5 on surgery on 24th November from 1:30pm or call branch office.
